The red and the green makes the photo “POP”. I have positioned the chair and the wind sail to the right, the 1/3 rule.
Tip #1. Framing & Composition
Like anything, being clear on why you are doing what you are doing is applicable when taking a good photography.
Go and look at 8 tips to taking a better photo for your composition.
Composition is KEY!
You can always use a photo if it has good composition using some of the basic photography rules in the composition blog I mentioned above.
For you folk who are visual learners:
Tip #2. Variety
Have a good variety of inspiration, education, your interests and if you are marketing something make that “marketing” post 10% of the whole mix.

Use your smart phone to take clear, well composed photos to show people who you really are, where you go.
Tip #3. TEXT

When you are placing text on your photo for inspiration or marketing use these 3 simple rules:
…….. I use the I Phone app Wordswag to quickly place words on my photos, or I use photoshop if Im doing a batch of photos.
Click through to see relevant info on Wordswag. I love the app it’s easy, quick and simple to use and it’s free!
…….. Make sure your writing is clearly seen on the back ground also positioned well to compliment the composition.
…….. Make the words relevant to the photo.
Tip #4. Branding
……. Use similar or the same font for your photos. This is part of your branding. Like anything being consistent is when people will get to know how you think.

…….. Use the similar “look” to your photos. I aim to have bright colours in my photos. I use bright colours in my branding. being consistent!
Tip #5. 20% Rule
…….. Facebook doesn’t like more than 20% of the photo to be words. You are likely to not have your add approved by Facebook if your words are more than 20%.
Tip #6. Be of value to your readers mind in a positive way
…….. Being of value is adding something to someones life when they scroll. Add with humour, education, inspiration. Let people see your good sides and your sense of humour and your creativity.
……… I think sometimes Facebook is a lot like TV… mind numbing… make your posts stand out in a positive way… be different!

In a nutshell:
1. Framing & Composition
2. Variety
3. Text
4. Branding
5. 20% Rule
6. Be of value to your readers mind in a positive way
